#14 Nevada 9-1(6-1)
2014 got off to a great start. Ace Journeyman's Wolfpack cruised through the early schedule, drilling WAC foes Idaho and SJSU, as well as rival UNLV. However, they seemed untested heading into a national stage-showdown in South Bend versus #9 Notre Dame. It was a defensive affair, but Journeyman's 'Pack got the upset, 14-10. Propelled into the national spotlight and earning a top-20 ranking with the win, all eyes were on the showdown with #13 Boise State. Once again, though, Nevada came up short, dropping a close one to the Broncos, 10-17. With an undefeated season off the slate, Journeyman has his sights set on another BCS invite, but most prognosticators are thinking the Emerald Bowl. One more big showdown looms next with #25 Fresno State before the season-ending rivalry New Mexico.
