Dynasty Update: Welcome to the Bigs

It has certainly been an adjustment moving from the WAC to the PAC-10. It's been easier for more athletic teams to pull away from the Wolfpack and close games are harder for Journeyman to pull out week-in and week-out against the tougher competition in this league. Maybe Ace's success will finally come back to bite him in 2015n, as the expectations in Reno are no less than a conference title and top-10 finish. With three losses already, there's no way either of those goals can be achieved and fan bases aren't always known for their understanding. Some have been vocal about Journeyman's performance, criticizing certain late calls in close games and his failure to close top-level recruits in the off-season. But, without him, there's no way Nevada would be the program that it's become the past 3 seasons or a member of a BCS conference. More understanding and optimistic fans are thrilled, knowing that their beloved head coach can have them contending for the PAC-10 title in a few short seasons and are relieved by the abatement of rumors of bigger programs, midnight plane rides, and other job offers. So far, 2015 has been a mixed bag; the step up to a big conference has taken its toll with 3 losses so far, but few think it will end in a losing season.
